Time Extension recently conducted an insightful interview with Bert Reiner, a former executive at Coleco, shedding light on the company's early years and its impact on the gaming landscape.

Last December, the NVC crew pondered if 2023 could be Nintendo's biggest year ever. Between the launch of games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 and the highly anticipated Switch Pro, fans were buzzing with excitement for what the future held.

NPR's Juana Summers talked with Kelsey Lewin of the Video Game History Foundation about the recent closure of some of Nintendo's digital storefronts. This move sparked discussions about the preservation of digital gaming history and the need for companies to find a balance between modernization and maintaining access to classic titles.

The very first Mario + Zelda 1-2 punch happened all the way back in 1986. The first Legend of Zelda released in February, captivating players with its open-world exploration and memorable characters. For nearly four decades, the Nintendo franchise has emphasized exploration and the joy of discovery. Millions of fans eagerly anticipate each new release, hoping for the next groundbreaking adventure that will captivate them for hours on end.

In 2023, Nintendo's net sales amounted to just over 12.04 billion U.S. dollars, showcasing its continued success in the gaming market. Despite a slight decrease from the previous year, Nintendo remains a dominant force, constantly evolving and adapting to the changing gaming landscape.

In 1985, Nintendo released Super Mario Bros., a game that would revolutionize the industry and become an enduring symbol of the company's creativity and innovation. This iconic platformer introduced players to the Mushroom Kingdom and set the stage for countless sequels and spin-offs that would capture the hearts of gamers worldwide.
