A Nintendo fan from Australia has taken the modification of old gaming consoles to a whole new level by transforming an NES shell into a combat robot. Combining his passions for both competitive combat robotics and video games, Electrosync built the NEStroyer, a robot that resembles a battle tank with a NES shell for its body. The robot features a variety of weapons and armor, including a flamethrower, a machine gun, and a mini-rocket launcher.

Too busy playing video games to have a social life? No worries. In 1985, Nintendo introduced R.O.B. — otherwise known as the Robotic Operating Buddy. The NES accessory was designed to play games with the player by manipulating the controller. However, it was quickly discontinued due to its high cost and limited functionality.

The NEStroyer not only looks impressive, but it can also wreak havoc in combat.
