Nintendo's no longer the only (handheld) game in town, thanks to devices such as Valve's Steam Deck. It's time for the Switch to evolve. The Nintendo Switch was first released on March 3, 2017, making it over 4 years old as of 2021. A free trial for Jedi: Survivor on Xbox, and Knights of the Old Republic on Switch are available now to celebrate Star Wars Day.

Nintendo is likely to release a new Switch console this year, analysts told CNBC. The Nintendo Switch first launched in March 2017 and has since seen several hardware revisions and software updates to enhance the gaming experience for users. Knights of the Old Republic is available for free right now, until Thursday, May 9th, if you're a member of Nintendo Switch Online.
