Can you play PS4 disc games on PS5 digital? This is a question that many gamers have asked as they prepare to upgrade to the newest console from Sony. The answer is yes, although there are some caveats. The standard PS5 can also play old PS4 discs via backwards compatibility, while the digital edition PS5 can only access those games through an online store.

Last generation, the PS4 had a variety of features the Xbox One didn't. One of those was the ability to play digital games from the store, as well as physical discs. With the PS5, however, the digital edition does not have a disc drive, so you can't physically insert a disc to play. Fortunately, if you buys a digital version of a game already installed via disc, you can use a feature called "disc-to-digital" to transfer the physical disc to your digital library.

So, say one user on your PS5 has bought a digital game, and you haven't. If you then insert the disc version of that same game, you can play it on the same console. This is a great way to save money and avoid having to buy the game twice. It's important to note, however, that this only works if the game has been purchased digitally before; otherwise, you won't be able to access it.

Insider Gaming shared the latest report on Sony's PS5 Pro plans this week. According to the report, the console will be available in three different versions, following the Digital Edition and the one with a disc drive, which is being referred to as the Pro Edition. This version will feature an 8K output, as well as a more powerful processor and improved graphics. It's also expected that the Pro version will be more expensive than the standard version.

WWE 2K23 features four editions of the game: Standard Edition, Cross-Gen, Digital Deluxe, and Ultimate Editions. The game is now available for pre-order on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. For those who purchase the game digitally, there will be an exclusive in-game bonus, which will be revealed in the PlayStation store/Library tile for PS4 and PS5 users, as well as on the Xbox Store.

Similar to how it once did with the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro, Sony is gearing up to release an upgraded version of its next-generation game console. The company's lead system architect, Mark Cerny, confirmed the PS5 Pro's existence in a recent interview. Prior to this, he had stated that the PS5 game system would have a "huge" architecture, which would allow for superior graphics and performance.

If you purchased a disc or digital title for PS3, look for any promotional offer that gives you a PS4 upgrade at a small cost. If you're lucky, you might even be able to get your hands on a free copy of your game. However, keep in mind that this offer is only available for certain games, so you'll need to check if your game is eligible.

Finally, the PS4 has just become the third best-selling console of all time, recently passing the Game Boy's lifetime sales of 118.69 units, per VGChartz. This is a huge milestone for Sony, and shows just how popular the console has become. With the PS5 on the horizon, it's likely that the system will continue to be a success.
