GameStop Robberies on the Rise as Thieves Target PS5 Consoles The news of the PlayStation 5's (PS5) launch has been welcomed by gamers all around the world. However, the bad news is that it's also apparently led to an uptick in GameStop robberies as thieves target the pricey and easy-to-flip consoles.

According to reports, someone holds a PS5 DualSense in front of a GameStop logo was recently spotted. The image was taken by SOPA Images (Getty Images) and only one person was on shift at the GameStop store in question.

The official description in GameStop's entry for the game confirms that players, in the role of independent mercenaries, will be able to explore a large open world and take part in a variety of missions. The game also features a dynamic weather system, allowing gamers to experience different kinds of weather conditions.

In addition to the three retailers listed below, you can also pick up the DualSense Edge at Walmart and GameStop. It's worth noting that the game is also available on PlayStation 5, as well as PlayStation 4.

Unfortunately, it seems that the PS5's popularity has led to an increase in robberies of GameStop stores. Five suspects entered GameStop and stole seven PS5 gaming consoles, according to a recent report from the Memphis Police Department Facebook Page. The suspects reportedly made off with the consoles without any confrontation.

In collaboration with PlayStation, a limited edition PS5 DualSense Wireless Controller has been created - and it's yours to buy. The controller has been designed to match the aesthetic of the PS5, featuring a custom light bar, special textured grips, and a new share button.

Games such as the highly anticipated God of War: Ragnarok are set to be released on the PS5. The game is currently up for pre-order at GameStop, and it's expected to be released later this year.

In addition to the PS5 games, gamers can also get their hands on some of the latest accessories. Buying on PlayStation gets you both the PS4 and PS5 version of the Link figure. The figure is back up for preorder at GameStop and it's expected to be released this spring.

For those who are looking for a unique way to customize their PS5, the DualSense Edge is also available. The controller features a unique design, as well as a textured grip and advanced haptic feedback.

GameStop is a great place to pick up all of your gaming needs, from consoles to games to accessories. With the PS5's popularity, it's no surprise that robberies of GameStop stores have been on the rise.
