Ever wanted to use your AirPods or another pair of Bluetooth headphones or earbuds with your Xbox? Well, you can. While the Xbox One doesn't support Bluetooth, there are workarounds that allow you to connect your wireless headphones to your console.

The first thing you need to do is obtain a headset that uses Microsoft's wireless protocol. If it comes with a wireless adapter or a USB cable, you can simply plug it into your Xbox One's USB port and start using it right away.

Unfortunately, Microsoft isn't keen on allowing their Series S or X consoles to support Bluetooth headphones natively. The company has no Bluetooth support built into the consoles themselves, so you'll need to use a workaround to connect your headphones.

One popular solution is to use a Bluetooth adapter that plugs into your Xbox One's controller. This will allow you to connect your Bluetooth headphones wirelessly to your controller and use them to hear game audio and chat with friends.

Another option is to use a wired connection between your headphones and your Xbox One controller. Some headsets come with a 3.5mm audio cable that you can plug into the controller's headphone jack. This will allow you to hear game audio and chat with friends without any wireless interference.

If you're using an Xbox Series X/S, you'll need to use a wireless USB adapter to connect your Bluetooth headphones to your controller. The adapter plugs into the console's USB port and allows you to connect your wireless headphones to your controller for game audio and chat.

To connect your Bluetooth headphones to your Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S, follow these steps:

  1. Turn on your Xbox console and your Bluetooth headphones.

  2. Put your headphones in pairing mode. This will vary depending on the model of your headphones, so consult the manual or do a quick Google search to find out how to do this.

  3. Plug your Bluetooth adapter into your Xbox One controller or console, or connect your headphones directly to your controller.

  4. On your Xbox, go to Settings > Display & Sound > Audio Output.

  5. Under Headset audio, select the output device you want to use. If you're using a Bluetooth adapter, select it from the list of available devices.

  6. Under Headset chat mixer, choose how you want to balance game audio and chat audio.

  7. Adjust the volume of your headphones using the volume dial on your headset or the volume controls on your controller.

  8. Start playing your favorite game and enjoy the wireless freedom of your Bluetooth headphones!

While Bluetooth headphones aren't officially supported by Microsoft on the Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S, there are plenty of workarounds that allow you to use them with your console. With a little bit of setup, you can enjoy the convenience and freedom of wireless headphones while gaming.
