We've got good news if you're a fan of classic original Xbox and Xbox 360 games, as it's a big week for backwards compatible deals on the Xbox One. Microsoft has announced a new wave of Xbox backward compatible games available for the Xbox One, including some fan-favorites like the original Assassin's Creed, Dark Void, and Tom Clancy's EndWar. These games will be available for purchase on the Xbox Store and can be played on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.

A popular and backwards compatible Xbox 360 game is currently on sale for $2.99, courtesy of an 80 percent discount. As you may know, Xbox One backward compatibility allows users to play Xbox 360 games on their newer console. The latest deal is for the game "Mafia II," a classic open-world action-adventure game that was first released in 2010.

Microsoft has quietly announced that it's planning to delist over 40 games from its Xbox 360 marketplace. On a support page, the company listed the games that will be removed from the marketplace on June 30, 2022. The list of delisted games includes some fan-favorites like the original Call of Duty Black Ops, Halo: Reach, and Fable II. However, Microsoft has stated that those who already own the games will still be able to download and play them.

Between Microsoft continuing its fight to get its Activision Blizzard through and dropping out of E3 2023 along with other gaming entities, Xbox fans are eagerly anticipating any news about upcoming games or deals on older titles. The Xbox Series X is a powerhouse console, alleviating a lack of exclusives with other seriously enticing features. With the release of the Xbox Series X, Microsoft has brought the backwards compatibility feature to the forefront, allowing gamers to play their old favorites on the newer console.

If you have Xbox, Xbox 360, or Xbox One games, they will play on your Xbox Series X. Here's how to get them working. First, make sure your Xbox Series X is connected to the internet. Next, go to the Microsoft Store and search for the game you want to play. If the game is compatible with the Xbox Series X, it will say so on the game's store page. Simply click on the "Install" button to download the game to your console.

According to an Xbox leaker, there is the possibility that we get a few more games added to the Backwards Compatibility system after ABK. ABK refers to Activision Blizzard King, which is the new name of Activision Blizzard after it merged with mobile gaming giant King. The leaker claims that the new games will be announced during E3 2022.

Some fantastic OG Xbox & Xbox 360 titles! Another set of Xbox deals has just gone live on the Xbox Store, which means another opportunity to pick up some great games at a discount. Some of the games on sale include Red Dead Redemption, BioShock Infinite, and Left 4 Dead 2.

An Xbox 360 and PS3-era game that's been playable on modern Xbox consoles via backward compatibility no longer supports its online services. The game is "Grand Theft Auto IV," which was first released in 2008. The online multiplayer mode was shut down on December 16, 2021, and players can no longer access the online features of the game.
