Last November, Nintendo and DeNA announced their plans to form a joint venture company to focus on researching and developing digital content. This move came as no surprise as Nintendo has been looking for ways to expand its reach beyond traditional consoles and into the mobile gaming space.

The new company, officially called Nintendo Systems Co., Ltd., has now joined the Tokyo Stock Exchange as of April 3, 2023. This marks a significant step for both Nintendo and DeNA as they work together towards creating new and innovative gaming experiences.

While the specifics of what Nintendo Systems will produce remain unclear, it is expected that the company will focus on developing new hardware and digital content that will be compatible with Nintendo's existing consoles and mobile devices.

This joint venture is not the first time that Nintendo and DeNA have worked together. In 2015, the two companies partnered to create mobile games based on Nintendo's popular franchises, such as Super Mario and Animal Crossing.

The partnership was a success, with Nintendo's mobile games generating over $1 billion in revenue by 2019. However, the joint venture company is expected to take the collaboration between these two companies to the next level, with the potential to create entirely new gaming experiences.

Nintendo Systems will be led by a board of directors composed of representatives from both companies, with Nintendo holding a 51% stake in the venture. The company will be headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, and will employ staff from both Nintendo and DeNA.

While it is too early to say what Nintendo Systems will produce, fans are already speculating about what the company's focus will be. Some believe that Nintendo could use the joint venture to develop new consoles or hardware that could compete with the likes of the PlayStation 5 or Xbox.

Others believe that Nintendo Systems could be used to develop new mobile games, building on the success of Nintendo's previous mobile releases. There is also the possibility that the company could focus on developing new virtual reality or augmented reality experiences, as these technologies become more mainstream.

Regardless of what Nintendo Systems produces, the joint venture is sure to be an exciting development for fans of Nintendo and DeNA alike. With the two companies working together, the potential for new and innovative gaming experiences is endless.
