Pocket Lint: “Modern Warfare 3 is a major disappointment in many ways, although its core gameplay is still rock solid. Its campaign is a mess, with underbaked, rehashed content that fails to excite.”

Rain or shine, the Call of Duty must flow. It's a mantra that's served Activision well for 20 years as Call of Duty grew from yet another war shooter to a global phenomenon. However, with Modern Warfare 3, the cracks began to show.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is now the worst-rated game in the history of the franchise, based on aggregated review scores from critics. It seems that even die-hard fans are struggling to find the same spark that made previous entries in the series so captivating.

Underbaked, rehashed, and cobbled together from multiplayer parts, Modern Warfare 3's single-player campaign is everything a Call of Duty campaign shouldn't be. The lackluster story and uninspired gameplay make it a forgettable experience for many players.

With a short campaign and an expansive but familiar set of multiplayer options, Modern Warfare 3 is a lackluster package that you're better off skipping. The game fails to innovate or push the series forward in any meaningful way, leaving players with a sense of disappointment.

If you've read any of my Call of Duty reviews since I started writing for Jump Dash Roll, you may have noticed that I've become increasingly critical of the series. Modern Warfare 3 is a perfect example of why - it's a pretty game, but its bland campaign, atrocious UI, and irritating multiplayer quirks leave a sour taste in my mouth.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 shows how tradition can (and should) be broken in some cases. The game's lackluster reception highlights the need for innovation and fresh ideas in the gaming industry, rather than relying on the same formulaic approach.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is being met with awful reviews from critics and fans alike, with many complaining about its short campaign. The game's lack of content and uninspired gameplay make it a hard sell for even the most dedicated Call of Duty fans.
