The quest for the title screen world is detailed in this Reddit post by user Tomlacko. Back in June of this year, he and a team of Minecraft enthusiasts decided to crack the code and locate the seed that generated the breathtaking title screen that players see when launching the game. They used Minecraft@Home, an ongoing collaborative research project in which people's idle computers are used to scan the vast number of possible seeds.
After 3 installations in the Minecraft launcher, the team was able to create a new world with the seed 2151901553968352745.
