Capcom's Resident Evil 4 remake demo is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PC. Take a jump on the highly anticipated remake early and try out the 'Chainsaw' demo.

The highly anticipated remake of Resident Evil 4 is set to release in a few weeks, and Capcom has offered fans a chance to get a jump start on the upcoming title with the release of a free ‘Chainsaw’ demo. The demo, which was announced during a special Capcom Spotlight event, is now available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.

The demo for the Resident Evil 4 remake was initially spotted in an ad on Twitch, but Capcom and game producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi officially confirmed its release on Thursday during the Capcom Spotlight event. This particular demo is just a small taste of what’s to come from the full game, and will allow players to experience the classic horror game in a whole new way.

The ‘Chainsaw’ demo for the Resident Evil 4 remake allows players to take control of Leon Kennedy and explore a small section of the game. This section, which is taken from the game’s opening act, features a number of enemies that players must face off against, including the terrifying chainsaw-wielding Ganados. The demo also offers a glimpse at some of the new features that have been introduced in the remake, such as the new camera angle, improved textures, and enhanced visuals.

Players will also be able to try out some of the game’s weapons and abilities, including the powerful Shotgun and upgraded knife. This demo offers a chance to get a feel for the game’s combat and action-packed sequences, as well as an opportunity to explore the game’s updated visuals.

The Resident Evil 4 remake offers a number of other improvements and enhancements over the original game. Players will be able to enjoy improved AI and enemy behavior, as well as enhanced enemy designs and animations. The remake also introduces a number of new gameplay mechanics, such as the ability to dodge enemy attacks and the addition of a new “over-the-shoulder” camera angle.
