Forza Horizon 5 is getting an exciting new Rally Adventure expansion later this month, and Playground Games has now revealed the map for the upcoming rally-themed update. Fans of the game will be happy to see a return to some of their favourite locations, as well as some new and exciting ones to explore.
The map has been released for Forza Horizon 5's upcoming Rally Adventure DLC, and there appears to be a distinct lack of orange pathways – a missing feature from the original Forza Horizon 5. The map will feature all the usual rally-themed locations, such as dirt, gravel, and asphalt roads, as well as jumps and other obstacles to tackle.
In addition to the regular rally tracks, the map will also feature some new locations, including lakes, forests, and mountain passes. The map also features some unique features, such as a river and a lake in the center of the map, and a large mountain range near the southern edge.
There will also be a few surprises in store for players of the Rally Adventure expansion. Some of you may remember Xbox's very own Forza Horizon 5 controller – a super colourful pad that arrived around the launch of the game back in May 2020. This controller will be included with the Rally Adventure expansion, allowing players to experience the full rally simulation with ease.
Following the announcement of the new Rally Adventure expansion coming to Forza Horizon 5, the latest Festival Playlist is all about the rally experience. Players will be able to take on a series of special events, including an all-new “Rally Adventure” mode. This mode will put players up against their fellow racers in a series of stages across the new Rally Adventure map.
Rally fans, your prayers have been answered. Forza has announced its second major expansion to Forza Horizon 5 based around the 'rugged outdoors'. The new Horizon Wilds Takeover update is set to launch later this month and will bring a unique rally experience to the game. The update will introduce a new location to the game, the Horizon Wilds, which will feature a range of outdoor terrains, from sandy beaches to dense forests.
The update will also feature a new set of cars, including the 2001 Ford Focus RS driven by the legendary Colin McRae. This iconic car will be available as part of the expansion pack, and players will be able to take it for a spin around the Horizon Wilds. Additionally, a new race type, Rally Cross, will be added to the game, giving players the chance to test their skills in a fast-paced race against the clock.
Other new features included in the Forza Horizon 5 Horizon Wilds Takeover update include a new “Overtake” mode, which will allow players to compete against each other in a race through a series of checkpoints. There will also be a brand new “Horizon Hardpoint” mode, where racers must drive through a series of checkpoints in the fastest time possible.
Forza Horizon 5's second expansion launch is fast approaching, with 'Rally Adventure' releasing for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC on May 20th. The expansion will allow players to experience the full rally experience, from the thrilling thrill of going off-road to the tense competition of a race against the clock.
