The classic game maestro's at GOG.com have been at it again, this time taking their time machines to Oregon in 1996 to visit Dynamix Inc to revive a classic: MissionForce: Cyberstorm. Back in the day, MissionForce was the pinnacle of turn-based, tactical strategy, and now a quarter-century later, the game has been lovingly remastered with modern visuals, sounds and a new tutorial to introduce newcomers to the classic gameplay.
Nick Capozzoli is a video game critic and practicing architect and he was really taken with this new version of MissionForce: Cyberstorm. He was especially intrigued by the industrial horror of it all, like the sound of a giant mech grinding against the concrete of a city street. He was also taken with the depth of the game's mechanics.
MissionForce: Cyberstorm is a classic turn-based strategy game which pits your team of mechs against a hostile AI force. You are in control of a group of mechs and their pilots, and your job is to take on missions that range from reconnaissance to full-on assaults. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic future, and you'll be able to customize your mechs and equip them with unique weapons and abilities.
If its projects come to consoles though, it'll most likely be a multi-platform game which also comes to PlayStation 5. This would be a great addition to the ever-growing arsenal of turn-based strategy games on the console. It might even be a great way to introduce newcomers to the genre, as the game is both easy to pick up and rewarding to master.
Into the Breach is made by Subset Games, the studio behind 2012's FTL, the hit strategy game that charged players with keeping a spaceship in one piece while dealing with a hostile alien force. This is another highly successful strategy game, and it stands as a testament to the popularity of the genre on consoles.
For eg I love MechCommander 2, MissionForce: Cyberstorm style games.. but the only modern mech games are like Hawken, TitanFall, and MechWarrior. These are all great games but they are more focused on action rather than strategy. MissionForce: Cyberstorm offers the perfect blend of action and strategy and is sure to please fans of both genres.

In MissionForce CYberstorm heb je te maken met een leger van robots en een kleine groep menselijke piloten die deze robots besturen. Je moet tactisch en slim denken om deze robots te besturen en je tegenstanders te verslaan.
