Spacebase Startopia is a business management game with strategy and combat elements.

Spacebase Startopia is an enthusiastic homage to one of my favourite management games. More than an homage, really, as it lifts pretty much all of the core concepts from the original game and adds a few new features in for good measure. You play as the Commander—a mysterious figure that has been charged with the task of restoring the titular Spacebase Startopia to its former glory. The game is a business management game with some strategy and even some combat elements thrown in. In it, you take control of the various sectors of the spacebase, managing resources, personnel, and other tasks to try and make the base as successful as possible.

The good news is your progress will carry over from the Xbox Game Preview if you were one of the first to, er hem, get on board with Spacebase Startopia. If you're unfamiliar, Startopia was a space station management game that takes heavy inspiration from the cynical humor of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. The game was released in 2001 and received decent reviews, but it never achieved the success of some of its contemporaries.

Spacebase Startopia is an RTS, base builder type game set in space. The predecessor called Startopia came out in back in 2001. For such an old game, it had a lot of ideas that are still relevant today. The game was a mixture of base-building and resource management, but also had a battle component and a light strategic component. In Spacebase Startopia, you take on the role of Commander and you have to manage a space station and its inhabitants in order to make it thrive. You will have to manage resources, personnel, and other tasks in order to make your space station successful.

The game plays out on a hex-based map, with each hex representing a different sector of the station. Each sector has its own resources, personnel, and missions, and you will have to manage them all in order to make your station successful. You will also have to manage the various alien races that inhabit the station, as well as the various threats that could endanger it.

Never been asked that before have you?! Well, this is very much a question that's being asked by Spacebase Startopia, the game that we'll be taking a closer look at today. The game is a spiritual successor to 2001's Startopia, taking the base building and resource management of the original and adding in some new elements. You take on the role of the Commander of a space station, and must manage it and its inhabitants to ensure its success.

Price: £45.99. Developer: RealmForge Studio. Publisher: Kalypso Media. Platform: PC. I've had varying negative reactions to games over the years, but Spacebase Startopia has really managed to capture my attention. The game has a lot of depth, and you can really tell that the developers have put in a lot of effort to make the game as enjoyable as possible. The graphics are excellent, and the soundtrack is really well done.

Originally published by Eidos, back before they were bought by Square Enix, Startopia was an amusing and surprisingly complex base building game. It was a combination of resource management and tactical combat, set in a science fiction universe. Spacebase Startopia builds on the original game, improving the visuals and adding some new elements to the mix. The game offers a good blend of strategy and resource management, with a few action elements thrown in.

${moreToPrompt}The game also has a surprisingly deep story, which is revealed through the various conversations you have with the different races inhabiting the station. The game is perfect for those who enjoy management and strategy games, as well as those who are looking for a more in-depth story. Overall, Spacebase Startopia is a great homage to the classic game, and a must-play for fans of the genre.
