Esports organization EG has been at the forefront of the competitive gaming scene for years, but recent happenings have embroiled the organization with controversy. Last month, EG announced that it had dropped League of Legends organization TL (Team Liquid) from its roster. However, since EG defeated League of Legends organization TL (Team Liquid) from the League of Legends content creation and esports community, the organization has been facing criticism from the community.

The newly-minted Twitch streamer didn't share exactly where he'd be broadcasting after this changeover, but Dot Esports expects the League star to make his debut at EG soon. However, this move has been met with backlash from the esports community. Many are criticizing EG for not taking better care of their players, citing the lack of mental and physical health support they provide.

Esports organizations have a responsibility to see to the mental and physical health of their players, but EG appears to have put its own interests ahead of the well-being of its players. Shopify took a hit to the chin in game one, as EG rolled them over and completely contained SabeRLighT- in a dominant showing.

Under the Thunder Awaken banner, EG eliminated beastcoast from The International 11 last year, while beastcoast finished first in Tour 1 of the ESL Pro Tour. Despite beastcoast's success, EG continued to be criticized for not taking better care of their players.

Shopify continued their dominance against EG in the bracket above. They won a 2-1 series after dropping the first game, proving their bracket prowess and showing that EG had taken their eye off the ball when it came to the mental and physical health of their players.

This has led to backlash from the esports community. Fans and players alike have been vocal in their criticism of EG’s lack of care for its players. However, recent happenings around EG have embroiled the organization with even more controversy.

“Honestly, I think it's really hard to judge who is a good jungler and who is not,” Inspired told Dot Esports. “I think jungle doesn't really have an identity right now, and there's no clear answer as to who is the best jungler.”

To make matters worse, EG as an organization has had almost no support from the community since its senior director of gaming and esports was let go. Many players have spoken out against the company, citing their lack of concern for the well-being of their players.

The future of EG is uncertain, as the esports community continues to scrutinize the organization for not taking better care of their players. It remains to be seen if the organization will make the necessary changes to ensure that their players are properly taken care of.
