PS5 Voice Chat Beta Now Available on Discord

The highly anticipated feature of voice chat integration with the PlayStation 5 has finally been made available in its latest beta update. Invited beta participants from select countries can now join Discord voice calls, testing out new UX, social and accessibility features that have been added to the console. The beta testers will be able to join Discord voice calls on a PS5 console in the US, Canada, Japan, and UK starting today.

After lightly integrating Discord features on PlayStation 5 consoles in early 2022, voice chat has finally arrived in its latest beta update. It works just like Discord voice chat on any other device, allowing users to join their friends’ channels and send messages in real-time. After that, make sure to update your PS5 with the beta software using the instructions provided.

A software beta for the console entails some promising new features that users have been waiting for, such as PS5 Discord integration, VRR, and other updates. Additionally, the beta will also include a new ability to stream PS5 games, allowing users to share their gaming experiences with friends on Discord or other platforms.

Honkai: Star Rail is soon opening its final closed beta to those with PS5 systems. It is a cooperative space shooter developed by MiHoYo and the developers have announced that there will be a special event for Discord Trailblazers, where an additional 100 beta slots will be made available.
